Scuba diving can give you the ultimate experience that most people will never get to enjoy, this is because it takes some very intense training that you must pay extreme close attention too. If you are not certified to dive then you have no business using scuba diving gear such as tanks. If you are a snorkeler you can use most of the same gear that is used for scuba diving, you just wont be able to dive down as far and get to experience as much as the certified diver would get to see.

Let me go over some of the scuba diving and snorkeling gear that you can use that will help you when swimming in the ocean, sea, or lake. The mask is very helpful, especially if you are diving down deep, and especially if you are in saltwater as the saltwater can irritate the eyes and you will not get the clarity you would without a mask. So when it comes to scuba diving and snorkeling the mask is almost essential, if you are scuba diving it is absolutely essential as the pressure increases as you go down deeper, it only takes about 10 feet below sea level in the water to where you will notice the difference.

Scuba fins attach to the feet and will aid greatly in your ability to swim in the water. Fins come in all types of different designs and some are very cheap while others can burn a hole in your wallet, much like everything that is out there these days. If you are scuba diving fins are very essential to have.

The snorkel is a way of breathing air while you are under the water, when you are scuba diving this is attached to a hose that is attached to an oxygen tank so that you are able to breathe while you are underwater.

If you plan on exploring the oceans or lakes below sea level you will need some help getting down there, this is where weight belts become extremely useful as it will take a load off your legs trying to swim down 100 feet or so. The scuba tank is necessary to keep breathing while you are under water. Scuba tanks come in two different main types, these are aluminum and steel, and not many divers have there own tanks as they can get really expensive. Tanks are rented out by dive shops and you are charged for the oxygen in most cases, you will need to have in your position a diving license to rent a tank from a dive shop.
